Travis Konecny is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and alternate captain for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Born on March 11, 1997, in London, Ontario, he grew up in the nearby small community of Clachan.
Konecny is known for his high-energy style, relentless skating, playmaking ability, and gritty competitive edge that has made him a consistent offensive contributor and fan favorite in Philadelphia.
Selected 24th overall by the Flyers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, he has spent his entire NHL career with the organization.

Konecny’s hockey journey began in minor hockey around the London area, where he dominated at a young age, including a standout minor-midget season with over 100 points.

He progressed to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), primarily playing for the Ottawa 67’s, where his speed and skill quickly stood out.
After being drafted by the Flyers, he made his NHL debut in the 2016-17 season and gradually developed into a top-six forward.
Known for his versatility on the wing and ability to play both right and left sides, he has become a key part of Philadelphia’s offense, blending scoring touch with physicality and defensive awareness.
