Detectives are investigating two separate murder incidents reported in Nairobi.

The first incident was reported Monday morning in Dandora Dumpsite area, police said. The body of a man was found lying in a pool of blood with two stab wounds in the neck and forehead.

Police said the man was attacked and stabbed by unknown assailants who escaped the scene. The motive of the incident was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.

In Nairobi’s Huruma area, a woman died after she had been assaulted in her house. Her husband was left with serious injuries and hospitalized.

The motive of the attack on the couple on April 27 dawn was not immediately known.

Witnesses told police the two were locked up in a house and beaten up before they were rushed to a hospital where the woman succumbed to the injuries.

The woman’s body was moved to the mortuary for autopsy and other procedures, police said on Monday morning adding they are pursuing leads into the attackers and possible motive.

Elsewhere in Nyacheki, Nyamache, Kisii County, the body of a man was found in a bush.

The deceased was identified as Pius Magoma, 58. He was last seen alive on April 23 before the body was discovered three days later.

The body had a deep cut in the face and had a shirt tied around the head.

Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the murder and that the body was moved to the mortuary for other procedures.

The hunt on the suspected assailant continued on Monday, police said.

Meanwhile, police in Nguluni, Makueni County are investigating an incident where a human skull was found in the area.

A school boy said he saw dogs pulling the skull from a local stream before he alerted locals.

Police visited the scene and confirmed the decomposing human skull was beside the stream before it was taken to Makueni County Referral Hospital Mortuary for preservation.
