    Ugenya member of parliament Chris Karan has lost his seat. The case was filed by the former MP Dave Ochieng.

    During the petition the MP was allegedly  kicked out of the court for presenting fake hospital documents. He had delayed in filing a response and presented a document that he was incapacitated in a hospital in Mombasa.

    “When we wrote to the facility, the hospital disowned the MP and the letter he purported to have been given at the facility,” the former MPs lawyer had told the court.

    Karan of ODM won the election with 23,765 votes, while Ochieng’ garnered 23,418 votes. He has said that he will appeal the decision of the court.
