
The High Court on Monday ordered for a vote recount in the Lang’ata MP election following a petition challenging Nixon Korir’s August win.
Justice Lucy Njuguna ordered for a recount in six polling stations. The court will in this case determine the spoilt and valid votes.
The recount will take place on January 29, at the IEBC warehouse in Industrial Area.
The matter will however be mentioned on January 24 before the deputy registrar of the High Court so as to allow the parties involved agree on how the exercise would be carried out.

The petition was filed by the ODM candidate, Oscar Omoke who garnered 39,593 votes against Korir’s 41,086 votes.
Omoke told the court that the election was marred with irregularities.
