    Kirstie’s breakthrough came in 1987, when she was cast as Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom Cheers. Taking over from Shelley Long, her chemistry with co-star Ted Danson and brilliant comedic timing earned her four Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations, ultimately winning one of each in 1991.
