Police in Nairobi County are investigating a death incident in Kilimani Sub-County after a 22-year-old woman fell from a high-rise apartment in Kileleshwa.

According to the police, the incident occurred on April 26, 2026, at around 5:00 a.m. Police said an unidentified woman had fallen from the 6th floor of Block C, House and landed on the 3rd basement level, sustaining fatal injuries.

Upon arrival at the scene, duty officers and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) identified the deceased as Consolata Githinji, a 22-year-old woman.

Police noted visible injuries on the head, ribs, and hands.

Preliminary reports indicate that the deceased had been in the company of a man, a 33-year-old businessman, during the night of April 25–26, 2026, at the short stay apartment within the building.

Crime scene investigators documented and processed the scene before the body was moved to City Mortuary Nairobi for preservation pending autopsy.

Police also confirmed that the man had been taken into custody as a person of interest to assist with ongoing investigations.

Police want to understand what transpired to lead to the fatal fall. There are suspicions the two fought in the room before the woman fell off.

And police in Homa Bay County are investigating a murder incident involving a 13-year-old boy in Rachuonyo North Sub-County.

According to police, the incident was reported on April 25, 2026, at around 5:45 p.m. It is alleged that on April 24, 2026, at about 6:00 p.m., members of the public alerted authorities that a child, who was a Grade Five pupil at Sanda Comprehensive School, had been seriously assaulted.

Preliminary information indicates that the boy was allegedly assaulted by his uncle, who later took him to Kendubay Sub-County Hospital for treatment.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to Gendia Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police officers visited the hospital and confirmed that the body of the deceased was lying in the mortuary.

The scene has since been processed and documented by investigators. The body awaits post-mortem examination as police continue to search for the suspect, who remains at large.
