Police in Kisumu have launched investigations after a 40-year-old woman was found dead inside a guest room at a bar in the Obunga area.

The incident was reported after a room attendant discovered the woman unresponsive during routine cleaning on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Judy Adhiambo, a resident of Obunga. The room attendant reportedly found her lying naked on the floor of one of the guest rooms in the Entebe area and raised the alarm after realizing she was unresponsive.

Police officers who visited the scene found the body on the floor with no visible physical injuries. However, investigators observed foam coming from her mouth and nose, prompting further inquiries into the cause of death.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the guest room had served as Judy’s residence for approximately one month and that she had been using it to host male clients.

Crime scene personnel processed and documented the scene before the body was transferred to the mortuary at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital pending a post-mortem examination.

Detectives are now working to establish the identity of the last person who was with the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding her death. The cause of death remains unknown pending the results of the post-mortem and ongoing investigations..

And police in Murang’a South Sub-County have launched investigations into the death of a 34-year-old man who succumbed to severe head injuries after allegedly being attacked by unknown assailants.

The deceased, identified as Nickasio Ngugi Nduati, arrived at his home at around 6:30 a.m Monday with blood-stained clothes and visible injuries.

Before collapsing, he reportedly informed his family that he had been attacked by unknown individuals and had sustained injuries to the head.

He was rushed to Maragua Level 4 Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Crime scene personnel documented the scene, and a blood-stained shirt recovered from the deceased’s home was collected and preserved as an exhibit.

The body, which bore multiple head injuries, was transferred to Maragua Level 4 Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.

Police have opened a murder investigation and are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible. No arrests had been reported at the time of the initial report.
