A woman claiming to be the second wife of deceased former Belgut MP Eric Keter has moved to court to cancel the burial of the former legislator.
In sworn affidavit Ms. Rosemary Koros asked the court to cancel all burial plans until the issues she presented are heard and determined.
She claims that she married Eric Keter under Kipsigis customary law and that the marriage bore four children. Rosemary Koros said the ceremony took place in 1996.

She has attached Lee funeral Home as the third respondent alongside Eric Keter’s First wife Rebecca Chebii and her first son Charles Cheruiyot to the matter and has also sought temporary orders to prevent the funeral home from releasing the body until the matter is concluded.
The matter has been certified as urgent and the inter party hearings are set for Friday December 15.
Eric Keter who is the immediate former legislator for Belgut constituency died of a heart attack on December 4.
