    Ximena Duque, born Ximena Duque Giraldo on January 30, 1985, in Santiago de Cali, Colombia, is a renowned Colombian actress and model.

    She relocated to Miami, Florida, at the age of twelve, where she pursued studies in acting, diction, and accent neutralization to hone her craft.

    Over the years, Duque has transitioned from telenovela stardom to becoming a successful entrepreneur and influencer, amassing a large following and building her own business empire.

    In her personal life, she has been in notable relationships, including one with actor Christian Carabias, with whom she shares a son named Christian Carabias Duque, born on May 16, 2004.

    She was also involved with actor Carlos Ponce from 2010 to 2016.

    Since June 2017, she has been married to businessman Jay Adkins, and the couple has two daughters: Luna Adkins Duque, born on January 14, 2018, and Skye Adkins, born on February 6, 2021.

    Ximena has a brother named Andy Duque.

    While details about her sibling relationship are not extensively documented in public records, her family has been a source of support throughout her journey from Colombia to the United States during her teenage years.

    Career

    Duque’s career began in 2002 when she participated in the reality show Protagonistas de Novela, a competition aimed at discovering new acting talent, which served as her entry point into the industry.

    By 2005, she landed her first acting role as Jenny in the telenovela Soñar no Cuesta Nada, marking the start of a prolific run in Spanish-language television.

    She went on to appear in numerous Telemundo productions, including Pecados Ajenos in 2007 as María Aguilar, Valeria in 2008 as Ana Lucía Hidalgo, El Rostro de Analía in 2008 as Camila Moncada, and Victorinos in 2009 as Diana Gallardo.

    Her versatility shone through in the 2010s with roles in Bella Calamidades as Angelina, Alguien te Mira as Camila Wood, Sacrificio de Mujer as Maria Gracia Exposito, and a lead role in La Casa de al Lado as Carola Conde.

    Duque achieved widespread recognition for her starring role as Samantha Sandoval Valdez Navarro in Corazón Valiente in 2012, followed by her portrayal of the main antagonist Inés Robledo in Santa Diabla from 2013 to 2014.

    She continued with projects like Villa Paraíso in 2014 as Cristina Vidal, Dueños del Paraíso in 2015 as Érica San Miguel, and La Fan in 2017 as Adriana Zubizarreta.

    Beyond telenovelas, Duque ventured into films with appearances in Primero de Enero in 2014 as Carmen and Morir Soñando in 2015 as Isabela, and she made guest appearances in English-language series such as Days of Our Lives in 2016 as Blanca and Queen of the South in 2017 as Eva Buemeros.

    Accolades

    In 2012, Duque was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and Best Couple with Fabián Ríos at the Premios People en Español for Corazón Valiente, and she won The Perfect Couple and The Richest Kiss awards, shared with Ríos, at the Premios Tu Mundo.

    The following year, in 2013, Duque earned a nomination for Best Female Lead of Telenovela at the Miami Life Awards and another for #MásSocial with Fabián Ríos at the Premios Tu Mundo.

    Her role in Santa Diabla brought her acclaim in 2014, where she won The Best Bad Girl and Soy Sexy and I Know It at the Premios Tu Mundo.

    In 2015, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Super Series for Dueños del Paraíso at the Premios Tu Mundo.
