No phones, no cameras in polling centres, IEBC tells NASA

IEBC has once again thrown spanner in the works after the commission outlawed use of phones and cameras in polling booths.

The order is to protect the integrity of the vote. It includes not taking pictures of people queuing to vote.

The commission has also said no one will be allowed to make calls within a radius of 400 meters from the polling booth, with the police allowed to make arrests.

It is unclear whether the order will extend to tallying, where NASA has often said it will use such tactics as having “live coverage” of the counting, tallying and results declaration processes.
