    No Covid-19 Deaths As 114 New Cases Are Reported

    Kenya has confirmed 114 new COVID-19 infections within the last 24 hours, the tally now jumps to 34,315. This was after 1,682 samples were tested.

    Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefings, Health CAS Rashid Aman further announced that there are no deaths reported.

    On a better note, 318 more have recovered bringing the number of recoveries to 20,211. Out of the recoveries, 263 were from home-based care while 55 from hospitals.

    The youngest to have contracted the virus was a one-year-old infant while the oldest was 85 years old.

    According to the Director of Public Health Francis Kuria, 27 patients were under critical care with 16 on supplementary oxygen and 11 requiring ventilator support.

    Ultimately, Mombasa has overtaken Nairobi recording higher daily cases with 17 as the Capital only has 16.

    The County distribution is as follows: Garissa 15, Kiambu 14, Kitui 14, Busia 12, Taita Taveta 8, Uasin Gishu 6, Nyeri 5, Migori 3, Machakos 2, Embu and Kisumu had 1 case each.
