How To Add Channels On DStv

Adding channels on DStv allows you to access more entertainment, sports, movies, or news based on your preferences. While you can’t add individual channels à la carte, you can upgrade your subscription package to one that includes the channels you want. DStv’s channel offerings depend on the package you are subscribed to, and managing or upgrading your selection can be done easily through self-service platforms. Here is how to add channels on DStv.

Understand DStv Package Options

DStv offers different subscription packages, such as Access, Family, Compact, Compact Plus, and Premium. Each package comes with its own set of channels. If you’re missing a particular channel, it may not be part of your current package.

Upgrade Your Package to Add Channels

If the channels you want are not in your current package, the only way to get them is by upgrading to a higher package that includes them. Here’s how:

Using the DStv Self-Service Website or App:

1. Log in to the DStv Self-Service platform or open the DStv app.
2. Go to My Account.
3. Select Change Package or Upgrade Package.
4. Choose the package that includes the channels you want.
5. Confirm and make payment to activate the new package.

Once payment is confirmed, the upgrade usually takes effect immediately or within a few minutes.

Add DStv Add-On Services

In some regions, DStv also allows subscribers to add special bouquets like Indian, French, or Portuguese channels for an additional monthly fee. These add-ons can be included through the same self-service portal or by contacting customer care.

To do this:

Re-scan Channels (If Needed)
