    Moisés Arias is an American actor, photographer, and creative director born on April 18, 1994, in New York City to Colombian parents, Mónica and César Arias.

    Raised in a bilingual household fluent in English and Spanish, Arias developed an early passion for the arts, influenced by his Colombian heritage and upbringing in a pseudo-Colombian culture in Georgia.

    Known for his versatility, he has built a dynamic career in television and film, transitioning from a Disney Channel child star to a multifaceted artist involved in acting, directing, photography, and music.

    His charismatic presence and ability to portray quirky, comedic, and dramatic characters have made him a recognizable figure in the entertainment industry.

    Moisés has one sibling, his younger brother Mateo Arias, born on October 31, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia.

    Like Moisés, Mateo is an actor and musician, known for his role as Jerry Martinez in the Disney XD series Kickin’ It.

    Mateo, who also performs as a rapper under the stage name Téo, has released music collaborating with artists like Jaden Smith and Willow Smith.

    The Arias brothers’ creative synergy extends to their joint work in the 2020 film Blast Beat, a Sundance-premiered drama where they played siblings, drawing on their real-life experiences as Colombian Americans.

    Career

    Arias began his acting career at age 11, landing his first role in 2005 as a guest star on Everybody Hates Chris.

    His breakout came with the recurring role of Rico Suave, a mischievous entrepreneur, in the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, where he became a series regular in the second season.

    This role catapulted him to fame, leading to guest appearances on Disney shows like The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Wizards of Waverly Place, and a voice role in Phineas and Ferb.

    Arias transitioned to film with roles in Nacho Libre (2006) and The Perfect Game (2009).

    His career evolved with critically acclaimed performances in indie films like The Kings of Summer (2013), where he played the eccentric Biaggio, and Monos (2019), portraying Bigfoot in a Colombian war drama.

    He showcased his range in major films like Ender’s Game (2013), Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), and Five Feet Apart (2019), and took on the role of Norm MacLean in Amazon Prime’s Fallout (2024).

    Beyond acting, Arias is a passionate photographer, exhibiting his work in galleries, and a musician who plays guitar and drums.

    He co-founded the youth collective and fashion brand MSFTSrep with Jaden and Willow Smith, reflecting his diverse artistic footprint.

    Accolades

    In 2008, Arias was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series for Hannah Montana.

    The following year, he received another Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) as a Supporting Young Actor.

    His voice acting in Astro Boy (2009) led to a 2013 BTVA Anime Dub Movie/Special Voice Acting Award nomination for Best Vocal Ensemble in an Anime Feature Film/Special.

    In 2014, he was nominated for a BTVA Feature Film Voice Acting Award for Despicable Me 2, where he voiced Antonio Perez.

    Arias’ performance in Monos garnered a 2020 LEJA Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role and a 2021 CinEuphoria Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in the International Competition.
