    The National Traffic Information System (NaTIS) is an online platform in South Africa that allows users to book appointments for services such as vehicle registration, learner’s and driving licence applications, and renewals. Sometimes, you may need to cancel a booking because of a change of plans, an error in the appointment details, or a double booking. Knowing how to cancel a booking on NaTIS helps you avoid missed appointments and unnecessary delays.

    1. Understand Why You May Need to Cancel

    You may cancel a NaTIS booking if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment or have already made another booking. Cancellations are also necessary when you choose a different testing centre or realise that you made an error in your booking details. Cancelling your booking early frees up space for other applicants and allows you to reschedule easily.

    1. Visit the Official NaTIS Website

    To cancel your appointment, go to the official NaTIS website at www.natis.gov.za. This is the only legitimate website for managing vehicle and licence bookings in South Africa. Always ensure that the website address begins with “https” to confirm that you are on a secure and official platform.

    1. Log In to Your Account

    Once on the website, select the Online Services option. Use the same ID number and password you used when making the booking to log in. If you booked using your ID number only, you can retrieve your details using the Retrieve Booking option available on the page.

    1. Access Your Booking Information

    After logging in, navigate to the section that lists your existing bookings. This page shows details such as the date, time, and testing centre of your appointment. Review this information to confirm that you are cancelling the correct booking.

    1. Cancel the Booking

    Select the option marked Cancel Booking or Cancel Appointment next to the booking you want to remove. The system will ask for confirmation before finalising the cancellation. Once you confirm, the booking will be deleted from your account. You should receive a cancellation message or email to verify that the process was successful.

    1. Reschedule if Necessary

    If you still need an appointment, you can immediately make a new booking on the same platform. Choose a new date and time that suits your schedule. Ensure all the information entered is correct before confirming the new booking.
