President Kenyatta has heightened the fight against corruption stating that even his brother, Muhoho Kenyatta, should be charged if found guilty for importing contraband sugar.

He spoke while addressing the American Chamber of Commerce Economic Summit at UN in Gigiri.

He said that politicians should stop politicizing the fight against corruption.

“People are out there bundling my brother yesterday… I have no problem. If he is guilty let him be dealt with, what’s the problem?” the President noted.

He continued to state that we should develop trust in the institutions to protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty.

“We must develop trust in our institutions, that they will protect the innocent and prosecute the guilty.”

President Uhuru’s younger brother’s company, Protech investment Limited was listed among the companies that allegedly imported the contraband sugar.

But Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri however defended him saying that he imported industrial sugar and not brown sugar.
