    Man stabbed and killed in love triangle saga in Kawangware

    A 23-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a confrontation with another man over a woman in Soko Mjinga area, Kawangware, Nairobi.

    Police said Silus Nyongesa Wanjala was stabbed in the stomach in the confrontation over a woman who is a bar attendant at a bar in the area.

    Police were called to the scene after the incident and found the deceased lying in a pool of blood. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    The assailant escaped the scene and efforts to trace him continued on Monday, police said.

    Meanwhile, police are investigating a drowning incident in Gichira, Tetu, Nyeri County that left a nine-year-old boy dead.

    He was a grade four pupil at Kaiguri Primary School and police said she drowned in a fish pond at a private farm.

    The girl had sneaked to the pond for fishing when he drowned. His sandals were found at the edge of the pond attracting the attention of locals who were looking for him.

    The body was retrieved and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    And police are investigating an incident in which a Kenya Defence Forces soldier collapsed and died while playing football in Awendo area, Migori County.

    Corporal Vincent Ouda of Embakasi Garrison was among those playing football at Marindi Polytechnic field when he collapsed and died on new year day.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

    And a bull valued at Sh100,000 was burnt and killed in a fire incident at a home in Kabras, Kakamega County.

    Police said the fire broke out from a cow shed where the bull and two others were locked on Sunday morning.

    Two other bulls and two goats were injured in the incident. Police said they are investigating the incident.
