The Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development has announced the auction of unserviceable motor vehicles and assorted tyres at low prices.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the State Department for Co-operatives said the vehicles will be sold from a reserve price of Sh50,000, while assorted tyres will go from Sh10,000.

The auction will be conducted by M/S Chaste Auctioneers on February 4, 2026, starting at 10.00am at the NSSF Building Basement 3 on Bishops Road, Nairobi.

Members of the public can view and inspect the vehicles from January 21 to February 2, 2026, at Basement 3 of the NSSF Building, Nairobi Area Traffic Headquarters and Samo Garage in Industrial Area. The tyres can be viewed at Block B, 13th Floor, NSSF Building, during normal working hours from 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding weekends.

The ministry said the viewing is meant to allow interested buyers to inspect the items before bidding, noting that all items will be sold on an “as is where is” basis.

Interested bidders will be required to pay a refundable deposit of 10 per cent of the reserve price for each item and a non-refundable fee of Sh1,000 to obtain bidding forms. Successful bidders will pay 25 per cent of the purchase price immediately after winning a bid, with the balance to be cleared within seven days.

The ministry said it reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or cancel the auction without liability, and urged the public to follow the laid down procedures to take part in the auction.
