    Siblings

Antonina primary and most notable sibling is her younger sister, Valentina Shevchenko, born on March 7, 1988.

The two share an exceptionally close bond forged through years of training, competing, and supporting each other in their careers.

Antonina has often described herself as the protective older sister who looked after Valentina, expressing pride in her sibling’s achievements while pursuing her own path in combat sports.

The sisters made history in the UFC as the first pair to fight on the same card at UFC 255.

    Career

Antonina began her combat sports journey early, making her mixed martial arts debut in 2002 and building an initial 3-0 record before stepping away for over a decade to focus on striking arts.

Between 2003 and 2017, she amassed an impressive professional record in Muay Thai and kickboxing, competing in 40 fights with 39 wins and just one loss.

Her dominance in these disciplines earned her multiple world championships, including titles in WXF X-Impact and other prestigious promotions, establishing her as a multi-time world champion in Muay Thai and K-1.

She transitioned more fully to MMA later in her career, earning a UFC contract through Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2018.

Competing in the women’s flyweight division, she posted a professional MMA record of 10 wins and 4 losses, with notable victories including finishes by knockout and submission.

Her UFC tenure included memorable moments, such as fighting on the same card as her sister, though she faced tough competition in the Octagon.

Antonina, nicknamed “La Pantera,” retired from combat sports to focus on her career as a licensed commercial pilot.

In September 2024, she welcomed her son, Bratislav “Steel” Shevchenko, marking a new chapter in her life beyond fighting.

    Accolades

Shevchenko’s most prominent accolades come from her striking background, where she secured multiple world championships in Muay Thai and kickboxing across various organizations.

In MMA, she achieved a solid professional record of 10-4, including 3 knockouts, 1 submission, and 6 decisions in her wins, and she became part of UFC history through her participation and sibling milestone with Valentina.
