    Early Life

    Julie Warner was born on February 9, 1965, in New York City. She is the daughter of Naomi, an independent marketing consultant, and Neil Warner, a pianist and composer.

    Warner attended the Dalton School, where she was encouraged by an agent to pursue acting. After landing an early guest role on the soap opera Guiding Light, she went on to study theater at Brown University.

    Following her graduation, Warner moved to Los Angeles, California, to focus on building her acting career.

    Television Career

    Warner’s first television appearance came in 1981 when she appeared in an episode of Guiding Light. She later appeared in guest roles on popular series such as 21 Jump Street and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

    In 1995, she landed her first major television role as Amy Sherman on the NBC sitcom Pride & Joy, although the show ended after just six episodes.

    Warner later gained wider recognition when she starred as Danni Lipton in the CBS legal drama Family Law. She appeared alongside actors including Kathleen Quinlan, Christopher McDonald, and Dixie Carter.

    After leaving the show in 2001, Warner continued appearing in television movies and guest roles. She also played the recurring character Megan O’Hara on the FX medical drama Nip/Tuck.

    Her other television appearances include shows such as Scrubs, House, Dexter, and Grey’s Anatomy. In 2021, she returned to television with a guest role in The Good Doctor.

    Film Career

    Julie Warner made her film debut in the 1990 psychological science-fiction thriller Flatliners.

    Her breakthrough came the following year when she starred opposite Michael J. Fox in the romantic comedy Doc Hollywood, playing the character Lou, an ambulance driver.

    In 1992, she appeared alongside Billy Crystal in Mr. Saturday Night. She later appeared in films such as Indian Summer and The Puppet Masters, which was based on a novel by Robert A. Heinlein.

    One of her most memorable roles came in the comedy Tommy Boy, where she played the love interest of Chris Farley.

    Warner also starred in the romantic comedy Wedding Bell Blues, alongside Illeana Douglas and Paulina Porizkova.

    After a break from major film roles, she returned to the big screen in Stick It, followed by appearances in Forever Strong and Radio Free Albemuth, which was based on a novel by Philip K. Dick.

    Her later film credits include Chalk It Up and the Unbelievable!!!!!, a parody inspired by the Star Trek universe.

    Personal Life

    In 1995, Julie Warner married actor, screenwriter, and director Jonathan Prince. The couple welcomed a son, Jackson, in 1997.

    However, their marriage later ended in divorce in 2010.
