He was rushed to Malava Sub County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police officers visited the scene in Kovasali Village and later moved the body, which showed a swollen internal injury at the back of the head, to Kakamega Orthopedic Mortuary pending an autopsy.

Two suspects were detained pending further investigations for murder.

The case has been recorded as a pending inquest, with detectives from DCI Kakamega North leading investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death.

And police in Marsabit County are investigating a fatal incident in which a man was killed in Turbi-Bubisa Sub-County.

Preliminary reports indicate that one Boru Katelo, was allegedly killed by suspected gunmen a few kilometres from the Awaye borehole.
