Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo’s recent announcement that he is a gay man has drawn renewed attention to his wife, Fleur Shomo, following nearly 14 years of marriage.
Caleb, 33, publicly came out on May 23, 2026, writing on Instagram: “I am a proudly gay man. This is something I’ve been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now.”
He also opened up about a difficult personal journey, saying he previously “buried his feelings with alcohol” before committing to sobriety and beginning what he described as a process of self-discovery and acceptance.
As part of his statement, the musician said he plans to fully embrace his identity in both his personal life and his creative work moving forward, adding that he will no longer “water down” his expression.
Shortly after his announcement, his wife Fleur Shomo also addressed the situation publicly, describing the experience as “a very disorienting and hurtful time to navigate,” while expressing continued support for her husband despite the emotional complexity of the moment.

Beyond acting, Fleur previously co-hosted the podcast My Top 5, which ran from 2019 to 2022. The show featured weekly conversations where she and her co-host explored personal favourites across a range of lighthearted topics, from guest rankings to everyday essentials.
