    Aryna Sabalenka Career Earnings

Sabalenka has earned approximately $34.6 million in career prize money, placing her among the top 10 all-time earners on the WTA Tour.

Her most financially successful season came in 2024, when she captured titles at both the Australian Open and the US Open, earning nearly $9.7 million in prize money alone.

She continued her impressive form in 2025, winning tournaments such as the Brisbane International, Miami Open, and Madrid Open, further increasing her career earnings.

Beyond tournament winnings, Sabalenka has significantly boosted her wealth through endorsement deals.

She signed an apparel and footwear contract with Nike, uses the Wilson Blade 98 racquet, and became a brand ambassador for luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet in 2024.

Sabalenka also partnered with global food brand Oakberry, launching her own signature “Power Serve Bowl” as part of the collaboration.

    Early Life

Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5, 1998, in Minsk, Belarus.

Her father, Siarhiej Sabalenka, was a professional ice hockey player who played a major role in introducing her to sports.

Interestingly, Sabalenka discovered tennis almost by accident. While driving through Minsk with her father, she noticed tennis courts and became curious about the sport.

She soon began training at the National Tennis Academy in Minsk, where her talent quickly became apparent.

Rather than following the traditional junior tennis route, the Belarusian Tennis Federation encouraged Sabalenka and her team to focus on low-level professional tournaments.

Alongside her tennis training, she also pursued higher education at Belarusian State University.

    Junior Career

Sabalenka began competing on the ITF Junior Circuit in 2013, making her debut at the Grade-4 Tallink Cup in Estonia.

Later that year, she captured her first ITF doubles title at the Alatan Tour Cup in Belarus.

In 2014, Sabalenka won her first junior singles title at the MTV Total Junior Cup in Finland and successfully defended her doubles title at the Alatan Tour Cup.

Although she did not enjoy the same junior success as some of her rivals, her powerful game and athleticism quickly translated into professional-level results.

    Start of Professional Career

Sabalenka actually began competing in professional events as early as 2012, before fully committing to junior competition.

Her first professional match victory came in 2014 in Istanbul.

The following year proved pivotal, as she won her first two professional titles in Antalya, Turkey.

By 2016, she had added more titles in Tianjin and Toyota, steadily climbing the rankings.

Sabalenka made her WTA Tour main-draw debut in 2017 and later appeared in her first Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon.

That same season, she reached her first WTA final at the Tianjin Open and secured one of her biggest early titles at the Mumbai Open.

    Breakthrough and Rise in Rankings

Sabalenka’s true breakthrough came in 2018, her first full season on the WTA Tour.

She won the Connecticut Open and the Wuhan Open, reached the fourth round of the US Open, and climbed to world No. 11.

Her performances earned her the WTA Newcomer of the Year award.

In 2019, Sabalenka continued her rise by winning the Shenzhen Open, defending her Wuhan Open title, and claiming the WTA Elite Trophy.

She also found tremendous success in doubles alongside Elise Mertens, winning titles at Indian Wells, Miami, and the US Open.

Grand Slam Success and World No. 1 Ranking

Sabalenka took another major leap forward in 2021, reaching the semifinals at both Wimbledon and the US Open.

Her consistent performances helped her rise to world No. 2.

After a challenging start to 2022, Sabalenka rebounded in spectacular fashion.

In 2023, she won her first Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open, added another title in Madrid, and reached the final of the US Open.

These achievements propelled her to the world No. 1 ranking for the first time in her career.

Her dominance continued in 2024, when she successfully defended her Australian Open title and captured another US Open championship, further cementing her status among the elite players in women’s tennis.

She also won the Cincinnati Open and a third Wuhan Open title, eventually being named WTA Player of the Year.

    Strong Form in 2025

Sabalenka started 2025 by winning the Brisbane International.

She reached the Australian Open final for a third consecutive year, though she fell short against Madison Keys.

She later captured her first Miami Open title, defeating Jessica Pegula in the final, and remained ranked world No. 1.

In September 2025, Sabalenka added another career milestone by defeating Amanda Anisimova to win the US Open, further strengthening her legacy.

    Playing Style

Sabalenka is best known for her aggressive baseline game and immense power.

She consistently ranks among the hardest hitters on the WTA Tour, relying on strong serves and powerful groundstrokes to dominate opponents.

Her fearless style has made her one of the most entertaining and unpredictable players in women’s tennis.

Over time, she has also gained recognition for improving her mental toughness and composure under pressure.

    Fed Cup Success

Sabalenka has proudly represented Belarus in international competition.

She made her senior debut in the Fed Cup in 2016 and helped Belarus reach the final in 2017 during the nation’s first appearance in the World Group.

Belarus also enjoyed a semifinal run in 2019, with Sabalenka playing a crucial role in the team’s success.

    Personal Life

Off the court, Sabalenka has faced personal tragedy.

She previously dated former professional ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov, who died in 2024 after the pair had already separated.

Despite challenges in her personal life, Sabalenka has remained focused on her tennis career and continues to be one of the sport’s leading figures.
