Heather McComb, best known to many as the former wife of Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek, has officially entered a new chapter in her life after marrying actor Scott Michael Campbell in an intimate Montana ceremony.
The 49-year-old actress tied the knot on Saturday, May 30, in an outdoor wedding surrounded by close friends and family. McComb later shared emotional details of the ceremony on Instagram, describing the day as spiritually meaningful and deeply personal.
“Yesterday @scottmichaelcampbell and I under the covenant of God got officially married by my beautiful sister @essence_says surrounded by the people we love most in the world in our most favorite city Missoula, Montana,” she wrote. “Our hearts are full and humbled by all of the love that we were surrounded by.”
She added that the celebration was “truly magical” and thanked guests for making the occasion special. Photos from Dennis Webber Photography showed McComb in a lace-embellished wedding gown with a long train and veil, paired with a cross necklace, while Campbell wore a white tuxedo jacket with black trousers and a black tie.
The couple exchanged vows in a scenic outdoor setting, accompanied by a large wedding party, with McComb reportedly supported by 13 friends and Campbell by 12 groomsmen.
Campbell also shared images from the wedding, calling himself “beyond blessed” and thanking friends and family for their support.

Heather McComb (born March 2, 1977) is an American actress who began her career as a child star and went on to build a steady presence in film and television throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
Born in Barnegat, New Jersey, McComb started acting at just two years old in a commercial for Publisher’s Clearing House. She gained early recognition in Francis Ford Coppola’s anthology film New York Stories (1989), where she appeared in the segment Life Without Zoë.
She later played Scout in the short-lived TV series The Outsiders (1990) and went on to appear in the television film Generation X (1996), becoming the first actress to portray Marvel’s Jubilee on screen.
