The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has launched investigations into allegations of misconduct involving Members of the Narok County Assembly following reports that some MCAs engaged in a physical altercation inside the House on May 19, 2026.

The commission has summoned 35 Members of the County Assembly (MCAs), alongside senior Assembly officials, to record statements as part of the ongoing probe into the incident.

Among those expected to appear before investigators at the EACC headquarters at Integrity Centre, Nairobi, on June 4, 2026, are Narok County Assembly Speaker H. Davis Solian Dikirr and Mr. Joseph Kasaine Lengeny.

In a letter dated June 2, 2026, and seen by Kahawa Tungu, EACC Deputy Director for Ethics Development and Monitoring David Kaboro, writing on behalf of the Commission’s CEO, directed Lengeny to appear for interview and statement recording.

“To facilitate our investigation, we invite you to record a statement regarding the matter. You are required to appear at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Offices at the Integrity Centre Nairobi along Jakaya Kikwete/Milimani Road Junction on June 4, 2026 at 9.00 am for interview and statement recording,” the letter reads.

In a separate communication, the Commission also directed the Speaker of the County Assembly to appear before investigators on the same date for questioning and statement recording.

The EACC further wrote to the County Assembly Clerk informing him that the 35 MCAs are required to appear at Integrity Centre for interviews and statement recording. The legislators are scheduled to present themselves before the Commission between June 6 and June 22, 2026, as part of the probe.

In addition, individual summons have been issued to the affected MCAs, with appearances expected to begin on June 8, 2026.

Preliminary findings indicate that the alleged confrontation stemmed from disagreements linked to changes in the leadership structure of the County Assembly.

The Commission has indicated that the investigations aim to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine whether any laws or ethical standards were breached.
