How to Cancel a SASSA Grant

If you no longer qualify for a South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) grant or you no longer wish to receive it, you can request that your grant or grant application be cancelled. 2. Cancel an SRD Grant Online (If Applicable)

If you receive the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, you can submit a cancellation request through the official SASSA SRD online services.

You will need your South African ID number and the cellphone number used during your application. An OTP will be sent to verify your identity before the cancellation is processed.
