The ministry of energy has announced a new team that will hold office at the helm of Kenya power to replace officers facing graft charges, who stand suspended. The team will be in charge for three months, in an acting capacity.
Jared Omondi Otieno, who has worked with the company for over 30 years will take over as the CEO, fitting into the shoes of troubled CEO Ken Tarus. He will work closely with Ambrose Lemaoni who will head the Finance docket.

Peter Waweru who will be the acting general manager network management while Joseph Gathuru will be in charge of connectivity.
Joyce Awinja will head the supply change department. Titus Makau has been appointed to head the ICT department whereas David Munandi has been appointed the acting general manager in charge of human resource and administration.
Imelda More will head the corporate affairs department while Tagichu George will oversee Kenya Power’s business strategy unit. Aggrey Chesavuli will head the customer service department.
David Mwaniki will be the acting manager in charge of structures and networks.
Among those retained in their positions include Jeremiah Kiptanui as the director of Kenya Power International and Charles Ng’eno as the general manager in charge of internal audit.
