David Møller Wolfe is a Norwegian professional footballer born on 23 April 2002 in Bergen, Norway.
He primarily plays as a left-back or left wing-back.
Wolfe is known for his pace, physicality, attacking contributions from the flank, and progressive development into a reliable defender.
He is currently on loan at Bundesliga club Hamburger SV from English club Wolverhampton Wanderers and is a regular for the Norway national team.
Wolfe spent part of his childhood in Spain after his family relocated there for his mother’s work in healthcare; they later returned to the Bergen area.
Siblings
Wolfe has an older brother, Dennis Møller Wolfe, born on 27 July 2000.
Dennis is also a footballer who plays as a defender, often in similar full-back roles.
The brothers grew up playing together, including during their time in Spain where both featured for local side La Nucía, and later with Bergen Nord in Norway.
Dennis has progressed through lower-division Norwegian football, including spells with Frøya and later Åsane in the OBOS-ligaen (Norwegian second tier), where he has earned recognition as a late developer.

Career
Wolfe began his senior career unusually early with local club Bergen Nord, featuring for the first team as a teenager in the lower divisions.
In 2019, he moved to the youth setup of SK Brann and became a Norway youth international.
He spent the 2020 season on loan at Åsane in the Norwegian First Division before returning to Brann.
After limited appearances in a difficult 2021 campaign that ended in relegation, he established himself as a regular in 2022, helping Brann win the second tier and earn promotion back to the Eliteserien.
In 2023, he contributed to Brann’s Norwegian Cup victory before transferring to Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar on a five-year deal.
At AZ, he became a first-team regular over two seasons, gaining experience in domestic and European competitions including the UEFA Europa Conference League and Europa League.
In August 2025, he signed a five-year contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
After limited starts in the Premier League and subsequent relegation, he moved on loan to Hamburger SV in September 2026 to secure regular playing time in the Bundesliga.
Internationally, he progressed through Norway’s youth teams before making his senior debut in 2023.
He has since become a regular, scoring his first senior goal in 2025 World Cup qualifying and featuring prominently for Norway at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Accolades
With Brann, Wolfe won the Norwegian Cup in the 2022–23 season and the Norwegian First Division title in 2022 that secured promotion to the Eliteserien.
On an individual level, he was named Eliteserien Young Player of the Month for April 2023.
During his time at AZ Alkmaar, he earned selection in the Eredivisie Team of the Month for February 2025 and May 2025.
He has represented Norway at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, starting multiple matches for the national team.
