Aryan Khan is an Indian filmmaker, entrepreneur, screenwriter, and the eldest son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and producer-interior designer Gauri Khan.
Born on 13 November 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, he has grown up in the public eye yet chosen a path focused more on behind-the-scenes creative work and business rather than acting in the conventional star-kid mould.
At 28, he has established himself as a director and showrunner while also building entrepreneurial ventures.
Siblings
Aryan is the oldest of three children.
His younger sister is actress Suhana Khan, and his younger brother is AbRam Khan.
He was raised in Mumbai primarily at the family’s iconic sea-facing home, Mannat, in an interfaith household that embraced both his father’s Muslim and mother’s Hindu traditions.
His parents have been married since 1991 and have maintained a relatively private family life despite the intense media attention surrounding them.

Career
Aryan completed his early schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai.
He later attended Sevenoaks School in Kent, England, before moving to the United States.
In 2020 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in film and television production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California.
From a young age he showed interest in cinema, appearing as a child in a brief role as the younger version of his father’s character in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
He also worked as a voice actor, notably dubbing for the Hindi versions of animated films including The Incredibles and later The Lion King.
Rather than pursuing on-screen stardom, Aryan has concentrated on writing, directing, and producing.
He assisted on film sets, including his father’s project Zero, and trained further in filmmaking.
In 2022 he co-founded SLAB Ventures and launched the luxury lifestyle and beverage brand D’YAVOL.
His major creative breakthrough came as creator, writer, showrunner, and director of the Netflix series The Ba*ds of Bollywood, released in 2025 and produced under Red Chillies Entertainment.
The series, set against the backdrop of the Hindi film industry, marked his formal directorial debut and received attention for its tone and perspective.
He has continued developing further projects as a filmmaker while expanding his business interests.
