The National Crime Research Centre (NCRC) has set October 5, 2026, as the deadline for applications for the position of Director/Chief Executive Officer.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Centre re-advertised the position and invited applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the top leadership role.

The successful candidate will serve as the accounting officer of the Centre and oversee the implementation of its mandate.

“The job holder is the Accounting Officer of the Centre; oversees the day-to-day implementation of the Centre’s Mandate; and is responsible to the Governing Council for provision of strategic direction and leadership at the Centre,” the notice reads.

Interested and suitably qualified candidates are required to submit their applications through the NCRC recruitment portal.

Applications can be made through recruitment.crimeresearch.go.ke on or before Monday, October 5, 2026, by 5pm East African Time.

The Centre said applications submitted after the deadline would not be accepted.

It also clarified that hard-copy applications will not be accepted, meaning applicants must use the designated online recruitment portal.

For additional information about the position and application requirements, applicants can visit the Centre’s website www.crimeresearch.go.ke.
