Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) doctors has once again been put on the spot over alleged negligence.

According to a video doing rounds online, a patient passed on after a doctor only identified as Dr Zawadi neglected to administer the right treatment.

In the video is an emotional woman whose mother died in the hands on young college graduates and arrogant nurses over at the national hospital.

The woman says that her mother was rushed to KNH following a Saturday morning accident. Her mother was hit by a boda boda and sustained severe head injuries.

Upon reaching KNH, the deceased did not receive emergency treatment. The family then sought to have their mother admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but were informed that there were no beds available.

She was then taken to ward 5B but still no action taken. Her condition worsened leading to her death.

The doctor Zawadi then contacted the family asking them to get their mother’s remains.

She also says that the hospital management has doctored her mother’s medical report which now shows that she was never admitted to the wards.

She further claims that after word got out that she had in her possession evidence showing how the KNH doctors and nurses neglected her mother, four police officers have been going after her.

The officers, she says, want her to get rid of the recordings and photographs that back her claims.

She has further accused the management of hiring quacks who in her mother’s case gave conflicting diagnosis.

One doctor said the deceased had a blood clot in her head and the other said that there was some sort of watery liquid in her head.

KNH has in this year alone been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons including a rape scandal and another where doctors performed a brain surgery on a wrong patient.

In March, the hospital CEO Lily Koros was sent on compulsory leave.
