The republic of Tanzania has threatened to deport and even arrest people, organizations championing gay rights.

The country through its Interior Minister threatened to de-register organizations campaigning for the homosexual interests.

“I would like to remind and warn all organisations and institutions that campaign and pretend to protect homosexual interests … we are going to arrest whoever is involved and charge them in courts of law,” said Home Affairs Minister Mwigulu Nchemba.

Nchemba also said that those who try to spread the homosexuality gospel in the country will be arrested and if a foreigner, will be “deported within no time … they will not have even the time to unplug their mobile phones from the socket.”

“Those who are interested in homosexuality should go and live in countries that entertain such businesses. If there’s any organisation in the country that supports and campaigns for homosexuality … it shall be de-registered,” he added.

The controversial and outspoken president, John Pombe Maghufuli also weighed in on the issue saying that he was willing to lose donor funding rather than allow for the championing of gay rights.

“Those who teach such things do not like us, brothers. They brought us drugs and homosexual practices that even cows disapprove of,” Magufuli said on Thursday, June 22.

Maghufuli had earlier on issued a directive that will see school girls who get pregnant while in school not allowed back to class.

He said that free education was for students and not parents.
