The late Multi-millionaire, Wambui Otieno’s widower Peter Mbugua has remarried eight years after the death of his first wife.

In 2003, Mbugua made headlines when he married 67-year-old Otieno, while he was 25-years old at the time.

On Monday, Mbugua said “I do” to his second wife, Ann Wangari, at a mass wedding inside the Christian Foundation Fellowship along Bunyala Road Church in Nairobi.

The event, attended by thousands of faithfuls, was officiated by Bishop Harrison Ng’ang’a.

Speaking to the Standard, Mbugua, 40, noted that he is very happy in his current union where he already has three children with Wangari.

The newly married man stated: “My first wedding was full of controversy after the death of my wife. As a human being, life has to continue and I am very focused on my life.

“I am very happy with my current family life. We are already blessed with three children and we are happily married,” Mbugua mentioned.

Mbugua and his wife, Wangari, 35, were among 50 other couples who were joined by Bishop Ng’ang’a during the Easter holiday.

Wambui, who was a women’s rights campaigner, succumbed of a heart disease at age 75, in Nairobi Hospital in 2011.
