Investigations into the theft of Sh11 million from four Barclays Bank ATMs in Nairobi have revealed that the heist was an inside job.
According to the latest update from the Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti, the investigations are almost complete.
Reports indicate the robbers might have jack-potted the ATMs to spit the money.
The technique is described by experts as electronic interference of an ATM machine, where hackers can command it to release all its content.
In the CCTV footage recovered from neighbouring buildings, investigators believe the criminals had prior knowledge of the ATM security codes.
On Wednesday detectives arrested a taxi driver and impounded a probox suspected to have been used during the Easter weekend robbery.

Earlier, five Barclays bank officials and a group of G4S security guards were taken into custody to aid the police with investigations.
On Sunday, the bank announced that an ATM at Kenyatta hospital was emptied of Sh4.3 million, while another at The Mater Hospital was drained of Sh1 million.
Further, Sh6.29 million was stolen from an ATM at Mutindwa.
The bank was alarmed after a G4S officer reported that the ATM in Kenyatta National Hospital had been tampered with.
