The National Police Service has issued an alert of wanted terror suspects in bid to prevent possible attacks in the country.
In a statement on Sunday, NPS released photos of the three suspects, and urged their relatives and acquaintances to volunteer information that will aid the police with investigations.
Further, the police called upon the suspects to surrender themselves.
“We urge those who suspect their relatives or acquaintances could have joined jihad groups, are planning to travel to jihad theatres, or have returned from countries known to harbor jihadists to immediately report to the nearest police station,” the statement read in part.
However, the statement was silent on the names of the suspects.
Some of the countries put on the spot by the police for jihadist activities include Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Afghanistan and Syria.
Terming failure to provide information on terrorists an offence, NPS stated that such individuals risk arrest, conviction and imprisonment of a term not less than five years.
“We wish to state that the Prevention of Terrorism Act(POTA 2012) obligates any person in Kenya to disclose to the police any information that could prevent a terrorist act or secure the arrest of a person who has committed an offence under the Act,” the statement adds.

NPS noted that a number of individuals are facing charges after they failed to provide crucial information on their associates who had joined terrorist groups.
In February, Sakina Mariam Abdalla, mother to Dusit terror attack’s mastermind Ali Salim Gichunge, was arrested and charged with failing to disclose the whereabouts of his son.
Abdalla is accused that on diverse dates between 2015 and 2019 at Kula Mawe area in Isiolo County, in breach of her duty as a parent, she failed to disclose information about her son to authorities.
The prosecution argued that the crucial information could have been used to prevent the deadly Dusit attack.
