Investigation into the murder of Murang’a GK Prison warder Pauline Wangari has taken a new twist after a CCTV footage from the deceased’s rented house in Kiharu emerged on Wednesday.
According to local media reports, a middle-aged man with a tattoo on his neck was captured arriving at Wangari’s home on Monday at 9pm.
On his way out on Tuesday at around 3.am, the man was captured carrying a TV set, what is believed to be the deceased’s large bag and mobile phone.
Wangari’s friend, who watched the footage at DCI offices in Murang’a on Wednesday, told Citizen Digital that the man was the deceased’s friend.
Investigators probing Wangari’s brutal murder now believe the footage will provide crucial leads into the killing.
The 24-year-old lifeless body was found with several stabs on the head and chest in her house.
Police believe the woman, described by her friends as a “beauty queen who loved partying”, might have been killed on Monday night.

She was found naked, her beddings soaked in blood.
Detectives found a roll of bhang superficially placed between her lips and a kitchen knife clutched in her right hand.
Moments after Wangari’s death reports, Murang’a County Police Commander Josphat Kinyua said preliminary findings revealed that it could be a love affair gone awry.
The death comes barely a month since her colleague from Nakuru GK Prison warder Caroline Jepchirchir was also found dead.

Jepchirchir’s body, however was found in a thicket at Githiolo village in Subukia sub-county, after she went missing.
Two suspects; Raymond Kiplimo and Joseph Kairu were arrested and later arraigned in court as it was claimed that they were the last people to be seen together with the deceased.
