Seven people are feared dead and several others injured after an accident occurred in Sultan Hamud along the Mombasa Nairobi highway. The accident involved a hearse and a lorry.

In a separate accident on the same road one person was killed after a pick up rammed into a truck.
More than 150 people have died from road accidents in the month of December. Motorists have been advised to exercise extra caution especially as the festive season approaches.
