One of Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua’s lawyer has been charged with rape.
The lawyer, Mbithi Kimeu has been representing the Governor in a petition filed by former Kathiani MP, Wavinya Ndeti challenging his August 8 win.
Kimeu is said to have committed the indecent act on September 10, at Rendevour bar and restaurant, Machakos town.
The court also heard that the accused touched an adult female’s genitals with his manhood without her consent.

Appearing before senior principal magistrate Caroline Ocharo, Mr Kimeu pleaded not guilty to both charges.
He was released on a Sh50,000 bail.
The case will be heard on January 31, next year.
