Retired Brazilian striker Ronaldo is reportedly in intensive care in an Ibiza hospital after coming down with pneumonia. The 41-year-old is said to have been diagnosed with the illness after being rushed to Can Misses Hospital on the island on Friday evening. Respected island daily Diario de Ibiza said he had asked for a transfer to a private hospital called Clinica Nuestra Senora del Rosario just before midnight the same day. Kenya has been caught age-cheating by CAF in the U-17 AFCON qualifiers for Central-East Zone set to start on Saturday in Tanzania with three players affected. Kenya, however, is not alone as the hosts Tanzania (2 players), Uganda (3 players), Burundi, Rwanda, South Sudan and Sudan, each one player, have also been nabbed. World’s football body, FIFA, has handed the 1988 African Footballer of The Year Kalusha Bwalya of Zambia a two-year ban and fined him $100,000 for corruption. Kulusha, who is a member of the CAF Executive and Technical Committees was found guilty of receiving $80,000 from disgraced former Asian football leader Bin Hammam. Hammam sought to challenge banned former FIFA boss Sepp Blatter during the 2011 elections but pulled out of the race when vote-buying allegations emerged. Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are eying the signature of highly talented Gor Mahia’s Ugandan left full back Godfrey Walusimbi, Kahawa Tungu can reveal. Tanzanian journalists are up in arms over assault on one of their own, Sillas Mbisse, by the police. The incident, which was captured in a short video clip, occurred Wednesday at National Stadium, Dar Es Salaam during Simba SC’s friendly against Asante Kotoko of Ghana . Kenya’s Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has sealed a three-year-deal with Japanese top division side Kashiwa Reysol from China’s Guizhou Zhicheng. Former AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf was Thursday night officially unveiled as the new head coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions. Seedorf and his assistant Patrick Kluivert signed four-year-deals that will keep them in the Central African football powerhouse until 2022.
