Kenya’s Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has sealed a three-year-deal with Japanese top division side Kashiwa Reysol from China’s Guizhou Zhicheng.

Kashiwa coughed up around Ksh. 300m to buy out Olunga’s remaining one and a hal-years contract with Zhicheng.

The deal will see Olunga, who is coming from a loan deal with LaLiga outfit Girona FC, pocket roughly Ksh. 15 per month.

This will make him the second highest  football earner in Kenya after Tottenham Hotspur’s Victor Wanyama .

To land the signature of the highly rated former Gor Mahia’s talisman, Kashiwa had to ward off competition from Eupen and Cercle Brugge of Belgium and Turkey’s Fenerbahce.

Olunga passed his medicals on Wednesday and is expected to be officially unveiled on Friday.
