The auditor general has said Kenyatta University, University of Nairobi and Multimedia university are insolvent running on bank overdrafts even to an extent of failing to remit statutory deductions including loans. He said that the failure to remit has resulted in individual employees being penalized for defaulting.The employees may also be denied services by the NHIF due to the payments owed to them. CMC di Ravena has obtained a court order to stop creditors from seeking redress from local courts. Barclays bank had instituted a suit seeking to repossess 98 vehicles and equipment. The bank wants to auction the vehicles and equipment to recover a Sh595 million loan. Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has called for the investigation on senator Johnson Sakaja stating that he was denying the county revenue. Retired Colonel Cyrus Odhiambo Oguna has been appointed as the government spokesperson replacing Eric Kiraithe. The announcement was made by CS ICT Joe Mucheru who said that the appointment will take place immediately. The family of slain Sharon Otieno is crying foul after the DPP’s decision to drop the conspiracy to murder case stating that it would weaken their case against Governor Okoth Obado. Through an application filed on April 29, the family said that dropping the charge would recuse some of the people who planned the murder but were not directly involved in the act. The CEO of the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) John Mwaka has been linked to scandals rocking  the organization including misapropriation of funds. Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi had exposed Mwaka who as an officer had  been relieved from his duties after allegedly collecting a bribe from Imarika sacco. Police in Namanga in Kajiado county arrested a man suspected to have murdered his wife and his lover after walking in on them at 2am. Samuel Gitonga allegedly reached for a kitchen knife and stabbed his love rival multiple times in the neck, chest and abdomen, killing him on the spot.
