A couple and their two children have been burnt to death after a fire razed down their house in South Imenti ,Meru county. The couple and their two children were sleeping when the fire broke out at 4a.m in the morning. Mr Eric Guantai, 41, his wife Caroline Gakii, 36, and their two boys Masters Tony Mwenda, 12, and Christian Karani were burnt beyond recognition when their house made of timber caught fire. At least seven blasts have hit hotels and churches across Sri Lanka with at least 137 dead and many more injured. According to media reports, the attacks targeted Catholic faithfuls attending the Easter mass in churches and  three high end hotels. A total of Sh.11 million shillings has been lost from different Barclays Bank ATM machines around Nairobi.  A  G4S officer reported that the ATM in Kenyatta National Hospital has been tampered with. It was later discovered that Sh.4.3 million had been withdrawn the same incident occurred in Mater hospital and it was reported that Sh.1 million was missing from the ATM. President Uhuru has defended the Huduma Number registration stating that so far 11 million Kenyans had been registered. The Catholic church has directed that priests to bar  politicians from politicking in their services. The resolution was made at the conference of bishops. The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) had announced the closure of the junction between the Thika Super Highway and the Outer Ring road. State house has refuted claims that people who fail to register for theHuduma number will not be able to access sim cards. In a tweet, Chief of Staff and Head of the Presidential Delivery Unit Nzioka Waita said that no sim card will be switched off, since registration of Huduma Namba should be voluntary. “For the avoidance of doubt Huduma Number Registration is a voluntary excercise in compliance with the ruling of the Courts.There is no directive from the Government to institute any punitive measures against those who don’t register.More emphasis will be laid on civic education,” said Mr Waita.…

Traders within the Central Business District have raised concern over how two plain clothes police shot in the air while pursuing a Boda boda rider.
