President Kenyatta has appointed a tribunal as recommended by the Judicial Service Commission to conduct probe on Justice Jacktone Ojwang. The tribunal will be chaired by Justice Alnashir Visram, other members include Festus Azangalala, Ambrose Weda, Andrew Bahati Mwamuye, Lucy Kambuni, Sylvia Wanjiku Muchiri and Amina Abdalla. The National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has unveiled the alternative bags that they expect Kenyans to use after banning the use of non woven bags for not being environmentally friendly. The director general Professor Geoffrey Wahungu said that newly approved bags made from sisal, cotton, reeds as well as certain types of hard plastic. “These bags are made from recycled paper. We can plant wood lots for paper and use that if we need, there’s no problem,” Prof Wahungu said The ban took effect on April 1. President Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed that the trial exercise for the Huduma police revealed that close to 5000 ghost police officers. According to him the government has been paying over 5000 ghost officers, losing Sh1.8 billion annually. They held demonstrations in Malindi to protest the motion moved by Kaya Fungo MCA Alphonse Mwayaa.
