Legendary Kenyan rapper Chris Kantai has passed on .The reasons behind his death are scanty but the rapper had been battling alcoholism over the past years. The parliamentary committee on transport and public works which is investigating the proposal for Kenya Airways to take over the running of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) from Kenya Airports Authority dismissed the transport PS Esther Koimett for failing to produce the proposal documents. Two senior managers at the Kenya Rural Roads Authority(KeRRA) have been accused of being conduits to corruption, fleecing Chinese contractors millions of shillings as kickbacks for issuing tenders . Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has denied claims that the the new reconfigured iTax system will result in the abolishment of the annual tax returns for employed Kenyans. KRA clarified that the tax returns would still be filed between the period of January to June but the process had been made easier. “Please note that the information is wrong. Members of Parliament have threatened to block the appointment of Central Bank(CBK) governor Patrick Njoroge’s reappointment over what they said were stringent banking regulations. The legislators term the regulations as inconveniencing, at the same time hurting the economy. The regulations state that approval of the branch manager is required for cash transactions of Ksh1 million to Ksh10 million while cash transactions of Ksh10 million to Ksh20 million will require the approval of the regional branch manager or the senior manager. Opera Pharma Limited employees have complained about their director Aziz Bhaidani for ill treatment while at work. The employees say that the director often comes to the office with alcohol and drinks through the day. They say that when he gets drunk he abuses the employees and forces them to work for long hours. Sakina Marian Abdalla the mother to terror suspect Ali Gichunge has been charged by a Nairobi court for failing to disclose her sons actions.
