A 37 year old Ugandan woman is the first person to be found guilty of performing female genital mutilation (FGM) on her daughter in the UK. The Crown Prosecution Service told the jury that spells and curses paraphernalia intended to stop her from being arrested were also found in her home. Justice Helen Wasilwa has allowed an injunction order by Patrick Kondo a former executive at Kenol-Kobil that could prevent the signing of the takeover agreement between the oil marketer and the French company Rubies Energies SAS. Legendary jazz musician Oliver Mtukudzi has passed on at Avenues Clinic in Harare. The African legend who had 58 albums to his name passed on on Wednesday afternoon after a short illness.
