The Standard Group PLC confirmed the appointment of  Orlando Lyomu as the Group’s Chief Executive Officer with effect from May 25, 2018 during their annual general meeting on Friday, 25 May. 15 people lost their lives on Friday night in an accident involving a 14 seater matatu and a sugar cane tractor at Maliki market near Kamukuywa bridge. Eyewitness reports that the matatu which was coming from Kamukuywa collided head on with a West Sugar Company tractor as it tried to overtake another vehicle. All the passengers in the 14 seater matatu died on the spot and the sugar cane tractor caught fire. Self declared NRM general Miguna Miguna has been blacklisted from using any international airline that operates in Kenya. According to the directive sent to Qatar airline staff have been advised to be vigilante and not to allow the general into their flights. Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and Starehe Member of parliament Charles Njagua (jaguar) have termed Ezekiel Mutua’s regulations that he said will regulate creatives such as video bloggers (vloggers). A woman who had entered into a tripartite agreement with property development companies, Wealthsmith Limited and Barletta Holdings Limited dealing in Agribusiness is crying foul after a Sh300,000 business deal went sour. According to her, the agreement was that she would receive the first amount of her returns in the first twelve months.
