The government of Tanzania has a passed a law requiring that mobile phones should have passwords. The regulations stipulate that failure to have a mobile phone password would land someone in prison for one year or liable for a fine of Tsh. 5 million. A Nairobi reveler, Robert Bundi who was seen throwing money at the Mercury lounge at the ABC place West lands Nairobi has said that he now regrets the decision. The law society of Kenya (LSK) has asked the lands ministry to invalidate the digitization process that is meant to avoid corruption that has been synonymous with the lands office. The LSK claims that they were nor consulted before rolling out of the digitization process yet they were major stakeholders.
