    Justice Chacha Orders Miguna’s Return, Asks Government To Bring Him To Court On May 18

    Justice Chacha Mwita has ordered CS Matiang’i and the immigration ministry to provide Miguna with sufficient travel documents for him to be present in court on May 18

    Lawyer James Orengo said that the issue at hand would have taken five minutes as it is a simple matter but the government complicated the issue by failing to obey court orders requiring them to produce the outspoken lawyer in court.

    CS Matiang’i, PS kihalaangwa appearing before the parliamentary committee on security had said that Miguna failed to follow the procedures set and that if they allowed the lawyer to disobey the rules it would detrimental to the country’s laws in immigration.

    He said that he had not received ant court orders and was therefore not in contempt for orders he had not received

    Justice Mwita said that it was necessary for Miguna to be in court on that day as the oral submissions were required from him.
