The discovery was made on February 26 long after he had died. Those behind the attack were not known as the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Police said on Friday they were pursuing good leads into the murder.

In Kapenguria, West Pokot County, a man was killed by an arrow in an incident.

The victim was a rider and was attacked by his pillion passenger on February 25 evening along Kamatira-Kapenguria road.

He was identified as George Kisa, 45, a rider in the area. The motive of the incident was not immediately known.

The murder weapon was recovered from his neck where it was stuck, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

In Tigania, Meru County, one Boniface Mutembei, 21 was found murdered near the Urru Stadium.

The motive of the murder was not immediately established. The body was half naked with injuries on the forehead and both hands when it was discovered on February 25 afternoon.

Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

His family said he had left his home the previous day and failed to return.

The matter is under probe, police said on Friday.

Meanwhile, a man was seriously burnt and injured after he climbed to an electricity transformer in a suicide mission in Khwisero, Kakamega County.
