A Mombasa principal magistrate Edgar Kagoni and four other court officials have been arrested for reckless handling of 10 kilograms of heroin worth more than Sh30 million. 1,774 graduate police constables are seeking to have National Police Service Commission (NPSC) chairperson, Eliud Kinuthia and Inspector General of Police, Hilary Mutyambai jailed for contempt of court. A Kenyan man living in the US is facing charges of domestic assault, battery, rape and kidnapping before an Oklahoma court. Erick Wanjiku is said to have strangled and raped his then girlfriend whose identity remains concealed after she refused to give in to his sexual demands. Security personnel allegedly attached to former prime minister Raila Odinga were on Thursday involved in a car chase with police officers along Nakuru-Nairobi highway.
