Kitui Deputy Governor, Wathe Nzau’s car and driver have been located at a bar at Kiembeni, Mombasa County. DG Nzau’s,  driver was found drunk at the bar and was immediately taken into custody by the police to Bamburi police station. The driver Anthony Kang’oti, has been missing since 9 August, together with the DG’s car after dropping him at the requiem mass of the students who perished in a road accident in Mwingi. The Law society of Kenya (LSK) has asked the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) sleuths to refrain from belittling or embarrassing corruption suspects during arrest. A list of members of Parliament who apparently received a meagre Sh10,000 and Sh30,000 to shoot down the sugar report has emerged. According to the list published in one of the weekly newspapers, at least 150 legislators lined up to receive bribes on Thursday August 9 at Parliament buildings. Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo was once bribed with Sh5,000 to influence a motion in Parliament. The man behind the bosslady, Zari Hassan’s hacked Instagram account has apparently been arrested. The hacker has been identified as Jemba Farid Gilbert alias Omo Dada, also a Ugandan. Matatu Owners Association Chairman, Simon Kimutai confirmed that matatu fares are bound to “reasonably” increase to cover for the cost of increased levy on fuel products. This decision comes after the government introduced a 16% VAT on fuel products taking effect on 1 September. Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioners who resigned are still in office, the High Court has ruled. Delivering his judgement, Justice Wilfrida Okwany said that the four commissioners did not follow the right procedure when they stepped down from office. Justice Okwany noted that the commissioners did not tender their resignation letters to President Uhuru Kenyatta who he says was the appointing authority. Former Nairobi Governor, Evans Kidero’s son Ronald Kidero was on Thursday evening arrested hours after the ex county boss was charged with three corruption related cases. Ronald is said to have been momentarily held at Central Police Station before being moved to Gigiri police station.
